Sometimes we forget how easy it is to just love them and let them be. In the thick of it, it can be hard, it can seem like forever, but oh how the days are short and the years go by so fast. It’s moments like these that make me slow down, take a deep breath and push pause on the fast moving chaos around us. My youngest has stopped napping and oh my goodness, does she still get cranky, but no one is holding her back! She can do it all just like sissy and big brudder! But oh how she finally collapses into the softest cuddle when she finally gives in to resting, even if she’s not actually down for a nap, she will just lay on me. Anywhere we are, in middle of the pool, she relies on me, her comfort, her peace, her solace, her Mother. Nothing in this life has been as sweet as raising my 3 babies with my endearing husband who so graciously and sneaky to me, not our daughter, Snapped this pic. It made me tear up a little that he caught this moment on camera, one mainly because he was actually watching us and thought to take the photo, but also because it truly shows the calm a simple cuddle can bring our children. Mamas, love your children fiercely, Godly, and unconditionally. It’s what we are created to do, it’s what God does for us, and what we need to pass on to our children. Love them Dearly and they will love dearly in return.
In the midst of a melt down, a simple cuddle was all it took.
“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” Psalm 127:3 🙏🏻 Not much more is needed for this caption, I am Pro-God & Pro-Life! So proud to partner with @hisgloryco and be able to express my Faith visibly! Use my code Luxe20 for 20% off and express your faith as well! 🙏🏻 I have shown my faith here many times, and will continue to do so. My faith has lead me to my husband, lead me to become a mother and raise his children as we are all God’s children. What more precious gift in life is there than the ability to love unconditionally as God loves us?! Please, if you have any doubts or questions in your faith, send me a dm, I would love to share more with you and openly discuss, with no judgments about your questions! If I can’t answer them, I will happily do my research or lead you in the right direction for you to study more on your own! I would love to start more conversations about Faith as I believe our country, and the world, needs God now, more than ever! Why are we taking God out of it? God is not politics, he is our creator! All God’s children are sacred and loved by him, born and unborn. Mother Teresa said it so eloquently “We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars, of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other?” 🙏🏻 I would love to also recommend a very powerful film, @unplannedmovie with @_ashleybratcher Please take the time to watch, it shows a side of the industry most will never see or know about. . .

One of my favorite memories almost 20 years ago, was attending a Brooks & Dunn concert, this song playing and @ronniedunn tossing out drumsticks into the crowd! He looked right at me, smiled and tossed it to me! Only to have the girl behind me knock me off my seat and grab it from me! Oh Well, I figured for a girl to act like that over a drumstick, she must have really needed it! So I take the memory of one of the best summers & songs ever with me! Can I be honest and really get real with y’all?? I try to be a good homemaker, but I hate laundry, like hate it with every inch of me! I’m embarrassed to admit, I hire someone to do my laundry for us, so with the Covid situation and shelter in place, I am having to do our laundry and I’m terrible at it! Please don’t judge me, we all have our weaknesses and this is mine, my husband finally accepted this weakness of mine after we had our 3rd child, Evelyn. He realized if he ever wanted his clothes washed, and folded, and put away in a timely manner, he was going to have to give in and let me hire our wonderful laundry lady. Now, 2 years later, we are stuck in this same pattern of me washing, putting the clothes in the dryer, and leaving them there to cycle on repeat to get the wrinkles out, for whenever we need something out of the dryer. Each time, I tell myself, “I will wash this load, dry, and fold right away and I will even put it all away!!” and then reality happens and there it sits, cycling over and over again in the dryer. Sorry, not sorry I say! I remind myself of all the fun I’m having with the kids, and the activities we are doing while the laundry waits, but then I feel guilty as I sit watching tv after dinner while the kids are asleep, and I think I should be folding laundry, so I do, and then it just sits in the basket! Why am I so bad at this??!! I love to cook, I clean, I don’t like to, but I’m not bad at it, what is going on with my homemaking skills that I just suck at laundry?! Please, for all of you laundry gurus out there, please give me some advice! How do you keep yourself from getting lost under piles and piles of it?!! And if you’re out there struggling like me, please let me know I’m not alone! Lol! Let others know they’re not alone!
Today is Good Friday, and as Christians, this is the day we mourn the Loss of our Savior Jesus Christ, knowing that he will rise again on Easter! So grab your coffee, nestle in for the story of our God’s love for us and his final sacrifice.
Diving deeper into the meaning of this day, takes us into the book of Leviticus chapter 16 where we learn the history of the Scapegoat.
God instructed Moses and Aaron to select two goats every year for an offering. One was to be used as a sin offering to atone for the sins and transgressions of the people. Once killed, it’s blood was to be sprinkled on God’s mercy seat on the Ark of the Coveant. There God would view the blood of the sin offering and have Mercy on the people and forgive their sins. The high priest would then lay Hands on the second goat which was allowed to live. He would then confess the sins of the people laying them on the goat. The goat would then carry the burden of the sins for all the people and would be set free into the wilderness, to which God would clear the memory of the sins. The goat became known as the Scapegoat.
Skipping ahead to Loss of our King, the ultimate and final Scapegoat.
Matthew 27:46 English Standard Version (ESV)
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
John 19:30 English Standard Version (ESV)
30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Hebrews 9:11-10:18 English Standard Version (ESV)
Redemption Through the Blood of Christ
11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come,[a] then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) 12 he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify[b] for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our[c] conscience from dead works to serve the living God. . .
Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All
10 For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins? 3 But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5 Consequently, when Christ[e] came into the world, he said,
“Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,
but a body have you prepared for me;
6
in burnt offerings and sin offerings
you have taken no pleasure.
7
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,
as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”
8 When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), 9 then he added, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. 10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ[f] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
15 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,
16
“This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts,
and write them on their minds,”
17 then he adds,
“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
18 Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
Thank you Jesus for saving us from ourselves, thank you God for giving us and sacrificing your own son, your flesh on this earth to keep us clean. Each and every single one of us are the nails that shed our dear Savior’s blood. Where our Lord’s blood ran red, ours ran white.
Show of hands, who else likes to get dressed up to stay in??!! I know some of us are struggling to find a routine these days, wearing pjs all day into the next, maybe changing from night pjs to day pjs, but playing a little dress up does wonders for your psyche! It’s the perfect excuse to wash AND DRY your hair, put on some makeup, order in some delicious food from your local take out or delivery, pop a bottle of champagne or whatever your preference and just enjoy your husband, family. . . or quiet!
Use this time as a way to reconnect with each other. Stay home, turn off the news, put your phones down and really listen to your spouse and your kids. We as women, as wives and mothers, it is our responsibility to be the heartbeat of the household. Our husbands stay strong, but their chaos meter flies off the charts in situations like these! We need to be calm in the storm for our kids and our family. Keeping a routine, workouts, healthy meals, and sleep schedules is so important in setting a calm foundation. Fill the house with Love and organized chaos. Be the chaos coordinator your family depends on and be proud of it!
I spent the day amongst kids activities, dog activities, husband’s schedule, re-organizing the kitchen, doing as much cleaning as possible without having the housekeepers right now, and then showered, shaved, washed and dried my hair, did my makeup, got dressed up to have a nice night in with champagne, dinner, and the most delicious Luxberry chocolate covered strawberries! It was a nice treat for the whole family, but mainly me!
